Hi everyone. Just to let you know we are alive and kickin'. We are officially into Fall and we have sure had some beautiful Indian Summer days. I've been saying "goodbye" to a lot of my flowers. Some of them were getting pretty ugly. Since we will be leaving for Utah on Oct. 11, I wanted to get a lot of garden and flowerbed cleaning up done. That way we don't have to come home to a big mess.

Last week, we went to Topeka for Doug to attend a Wind Energy Conference. I got to visit my 92 year old Uncle Claude and his daughter, Bonnie which was really great. We both got to visit with another cousin, Larry and his wife, JoAnn. I really enjoyed seeing some of my cousins.

After the Topeka meeting, we went to Kansas City for Grandpa's Dr. appointment which went very well. He got to stop one of his medications and had to increase his beta blocker to two pills per day. The next appointment will be in 2 - 3 months when he may get to stop ALL his meds. Wouldn't that be great! I'm happy for him.

From Kansas City, we went to Salina to stay until Sat. when we celebrated Beth's 16th birthday with a picnic at one of the city parks. That was a lot of fun and then we drove to Hill City and it was nice to get home after being gone all week.

I'll attempt to post some pics now so here goes.
